November Wrap-Up

Hey everyone!! As you may have noticed, this is my first ever wrap-up post, simply because of the fact that I’ve not really kept a track of my reading/life/writing/blogging before, and I wasn’t sure about anything. This is also partially because of the fact that I have the memory of a goldfish (worse than a goldfish really), and couldn’t remember enough to write in one of these!! I’m pretty sure I’ve forgotten a ton of things I did, but let’s not notice, and move on 🙂

Books that I finished reading this month…

  • Shadow and Bone: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ [4/5 stars, review will be up soon!]
  • Siege and Storm: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [5/5 stars, review will be up soon!]
  • Ruin and Rising: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ [4/5 stars, review will be up soon!]
  • The Blacksmith Queen: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [5/5 stars, review here!]
  • The Princess Knight: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [5/5 stars, review here!]
  • The Stranger Times: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ [4/5 stars, review here!]
  • The Damned Society: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [5/5 stars, review here!]
  • House of Earth and Blood: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [5/5 stars]

Books I started reading this month (this doesn’t mean DNF, but just means I started in November, but I’m still reading, and will probably finish in like December or something)…

I didn’t watch a lot this month, but I did like everything I watched, so I guess that’s good ✌

  • Dash & Lily: It was super sweet, and I finished the whole series in like 2 days. I just wished we could have seen a bit more of what happened after they got together…
  • Over the Moon: THE ANIMATIONS WERE SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL!! I didn’t like the story that much, but it was really sweet, and the animations, and messages about love, family, and friendships more than made up for it.
  • Schitt’s Creek: skjdfdkjskjs you can’t go wrong with this show
  • The Breadwinner: We read this book for Language & Literature in school last year, and my mom and brother wanted to watch it, so I guess we did…
  • We went on a road-trip to Goa, and now we’re here for a while!
  • I had my online singing exam, honestly don’t know how well I did ://

  3. You got a lot of books read in November! And nice to see lots of 4 and 5 stars – great to see a good month of reading happening! I didn’t get too much read last month, only about 3 or 4 books, because I was spending so much time playing video games instead but Hades is such a good game I couldn’t put it down.

      1. Think I just read so many books over the summer when there weren’t as many game releases I was interested but now all the games I was looking forward to are coming out so reading has been put to the side a little. Still working on finding a balance to the two – I’m really not good at balancing hobbies!
Ah, that makes me happy to hear – Hades is such a great game I think everyone needs to experience it – it’s also definitely rekindling my love for Greek myth and I just want to read loads of books about Greek myth now 😀

  4. Woah, you managed to read the entire shadow and Bone series in a month! ha ha I started that like in August and didn’t finish till this month….ugh I didn’t like them much but I’m glad you did!
Aaaah I hope that you enjoy Children of Blood and Bone when you finish it! I really liked it!
Wow you have so many followers I’m impressed
I agree with you about Over the Moon. It was a really sweet story about family and I loved Chin and Fei Fei was awesome as well but the story was a little weird. I’m fine with magic in my movies but characters doing things like building a rocket ship that can get you halfway to the moon at 12 years old in just a few weeks is…not great for me? Like I just don’t like that unrealistic thing.

    1. ahh!! the suspense killed me, i couldn’t stop reading!! maybe you’ll find something else that you like better!! i just started children of blood and bone and it’s super interesting till now!! all my followers are the sweetest people (like you)!! i agree – it was sweet, and the animations were breathtaking, but the story just wasnt for me… idk why? thanks for the lovely comment ❤

      1. Ha ha yeah I just thought Alina was extremely childish at the beginning? Like, she needed a man to do anything for her or whatever. I just wasn’t into the story. But yeah I really hope that King of Scars is way better. Yeah CBB is great! I really really liked it. I mean, I think the story of Over the Moon was a little…far fetched? Like Chang’e is a traditional story from (excuse me if I’m wrong) China I believe but just…the way Fei Fei made the ship and the way the city on the moon was portrayed just seemed…I’m not sure.

  5. Ahh it seems you had such a great month! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Shadow and Bone series! You rated Siege and Storm 5 stars. Is it because of Nikolai? I LOVE NIKOLAI!!! 😍😍😍 Are you going to read King of Scars soon?

I’m on season 2 because I’m really slow but still: I love Schitts Creek!!!

  6. Woah so many books and a lot of highly rated ones! 😍 Ahh I’m so glad you rated the Shadow and Bone trilogy 4-5 stars! I’ve heard many people being very disappointed with it after Six of Crows, so it’s nice to know that you enjoyed it! Over the moon 🌙! Indeed bungee stole my heart from the start… seeing a kinda serious and tragic Chinese myth I grew up with turned into something comical yet heartbreaking was wonderful… but I do agree that the story was a bit weak! But still 😭😭😭 . Looks like you had a great November, Ahaana!

    1. i think all the books i read were either 4 stars or higher – so that’s great!! i really liked the shadow and bone trilogy, and it was super fun to read (even after six of crows)!! i hadn’t heard of the myth before, but i still liked the movie!! it was very sweet, and i’m so happy you enjoyed it as well (even though the story was a bit weak, the characters were super lovable)!! thanks for your lovely comment, cherelle ❤🥺

  18. My memory is similar to yours and time seems to blend together so unless I keep track of what I did and when, I can’t be certain anymore. I finally got a copy of Shadow and Bone and am excited for my first book by this acclaimed author.
