• Count your age along your bookshelf: what book is it?

It’s City of Bones. The first book in the Mortal Instruments series, and the Twelfth book on my bookshelf 🙂

• Pick a book set in your city/country

To be honest, I haven’t actually read a lot of books set in Mumbai, or India for that matter. I’m pretty sure I have, but just forgotten because they weren’t particularly memorable. One book set in India, that I actually just spotted on my bookshelf is ‘When the Clock Strikes Thirteen’ by Ruskin Bond. I was never (still am not) a fan of short stories, so I didn’t really ~love~ this but I can’t think of anything else so –

• Pick a book that represents a destination that you would love to travel to

I’ve been travelling both internationally and nationally for an extremely long time – due to my mum’s love for travelling, and her dream to travel to 40 places for her 40th birthday. So, I’ve been around the world a lot. But one place I would really love to see is Japan in Cherry Blossom Season. I’ve only seen pictures, and heard from friends about it – so I would love to go there:) I think the movie/book that best represents this is either Mulan or if I’m not allowed to say a movie, then Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh. I haven’t actually read Flame in the Mist, but I’ve heard such awesome things about it, plus it’s set in Japan and has cherry blossoms on the cover so… 

• Pick a book with your favourite colour on the cover

My favourite colours are black, white, and gold. So, I think books that have combinations of these colours are really pretty – so for this one, I’d choose Star Daughter, Courting Darkness, or An Enchantment of Ravens. I haven’t actually read these books, but they are on my tbr (:

• Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

I would have to say either Junie B. Jones or Harry Potter. I remember I first got Harry Potter for my sixth birthday, and I was so excited to start reading it, and I basically spent all my time lazing on the sofa and reading for days. Junie B. Jones was also one of those books that was so silly it would make you laugh even if nothing funny was happening, and even though I don’t read it now, I spent a ton of my childhood reading about Junie B. Jones, and her, let’s say, uh, adventures. She was hilarious, and would always say fun stuff like wowie wow wow (note that I still remember this after 6 years), I also think the fact that she was about the same age as me when I read her books helps.

• Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

I would have to say the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I think this was mostly because I started reading it when I was 6/7, and there were too many characters? I remember not being able to follow the story after about 10 chapters and going back to the family tree at the end, to remind myself who’s who. I think this is one of the only books I’ve DNF-ed (ever), and now that I’m older, I want to give it another shot!

• Which book on your TBR will give you the biggest sense of accomplishment when you finish it?

I don’t know, because there’s not a particular book on my TBR that I’ve put on there for a reason besides a good rating from other readers, or because I like the synopsis. I just counted, and I have a little over 620 books on my TBR, so I think it’s safe to say I won’t be finishing anytime soon. 🙂 I guess if I had to say one, I would probably pick the Lord of the Rings trilogy, because, as I said earlier, it’s one of the only books I’ve ever DNF-ed, so if I manage to get through it, and actually enjoy/understand it, it would give me a sense of accomplishment.
