✰ Riddhi: When and why did you start blogging?
I started blogging in this lockdown itself. I’m not sure of the exact date, but I think it was near the end of August, and the beginning of September. I started blogging because I was barely doing anything productive, and my schedule consisted of only sleeping, eating, reading, and watching tv. This was suggested by my mum – because she was tired of making me do IXL, or Coursera, and wanted me to make some (ANY) use of my time.
✰ Tiction: When did you start blogging? Why? What made you continue?
Ok, this question is pretty much the same as the last one, so I’m going to skip anything I’ve already said. I decided to continue blogging because of two reasons. One, I HATE leaving things in the middle, whether it’s something I enjoy or not. It just gets on my nerves and bothers me a LOT. Two, it gives me an excuse to procrastinate, and do school work later, and also gives me something (productive), to do in my free time.
✰ Clara: Since when do you blog? What’s your favourite thing about blogging?
I feel like, for the first question, it’s all pretty much the same, so I’ve been blogging since near the end of August, and the beginning of September. I feel like my favourite thing about blogging is writing the posts (they’re super fun to write), and reading what people have to say about them because everyone has super unique and special ideas.
✰ Riddhi: What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I think it would be the people and the whole blogging community. Everyone’s so nice, supportive, and eager to help. Also, the discussions people start are super nice, and some posts are so thoughtful!
✰ Tiction: What are your preferred colours? (at least two)
I would say black, white, anything pastel, and golden. I don’t really know why, but I just like the way they look 🙂
✰ Clara: What kind of posts do you enjoy writing the most?
I like doing tags, and full-length reviews. I feel tags are definitely the most fun of all posts, and also leave a lot of room for discussion, plus in a tag, everybody has different answers to the same questions, so that’s super interesting to see. I also love writing full-length reviews, and just gushing about the books I loved, and ranting about the ones that I didn’t!
✰ Riddhi: What is your least favourite thing about blogging?
Nothing. Everyone’s super nice, and there are very cool tags and discussions floating around, it’s just really fun to blog (specifically about books)
✰ Tiction: What is your spirit animal? (And, no, Joey won’t work, if you know what I mean)
Wow 😂 This question was meant for me, wasn’t it! I would say probably say a mix between Monica and Pheobe. I relate to them on so many levels it’s not even funny lmao
✰ Clara: What hobbies do you have aside from reading?
I like to draw, and do art, I love to read, and swim, and also like to sing and listen to music in my free time!
✰ Riddhi: What are your hobbies besides blogging?
Ok, I’m just going to copy-paste this from Clara’s question above > I like to draw, and do art, I love to read, and swim, and also like to sing and listen to music in my free time 🙂
✰ Tiction: Do you play a musical instrument? Which one? and, if not, which one would you like to?
I’ve been playing the piano since I was 6, tried to, and failed, learning the guitar in 5th grade, and played the recorder for a while when I was (I think) in 3rd grade at school, but then never really took it forward, and last but not least, learnt the basics of playing the trumpet last year.
✰ Clara: If you could live in a fictional world, which one would you choose? Why?
I would choose to live in the Wizarding World from Harry Potter or be a part of Camp-Half Blood. I would probably choose these 2, as they’re the safest and least problematic. I also would love to get to know some of the characters in person:)
✰ Riddhi: What would the title of your biography/biopic be?
I honestly have no idea lmao
✰ Tiction: What is the movie you can watch forever?
Legally Blonde, Legally Blonde 2, and Legally Blondes. Ok I know this is 3, but these movies always manage to crack me up, and I could never manage to get sick, or tired of watching them 😂 I love how even after they completed Elle Woods’ story, they continued it with her cousins, and it was equally as fun, and entertaining.
✰ Clara: What fictional character would you like to befriend?
Aelin!! Definitely Aelin/Celaena she would be an awesome friend! Always there to make you laugh, and always has your back for everything. And even though she may come off as cold, any Throne of Glass fans would know that she’s the absolute best!
✰ Riddhi: Some advice for people who have just started blogging?
Uh well, I’ve just started myself, so obviously I’m not the best person for this. But something I did was reach out to a lot of people through their contact forms and check out other blogs, and I think that’s something that let me get to know other people in the book blogging community better.
✰ Tiction: Describe yourself in six words
Clumsy, Noisy, Talkative, Whimsical, Messy, Neat (yes I’m both messy and neat, don’t ask 🙂
✰ Clara: What’s your comfort food?
Dark Chocolate. The darker the better. Anything with dark chocolate in it too. It could be brownies, dark hot chocolate, dark chocolate ganache, anndddd you get the point…
✰ Riddhi: Describe yourself in seven words
Clumsy, Noisy, Talkative, Whimsical, Messy, Neat and Weird.
✰ Tiction: What song makes you dance so much that people look at you weird?
Anything when I’m with my best friend. I’m not kidding. I usually don’t dance to songs on my own, but when I’m with her we can like bop to anything from You Belong With Me, to Falling, to Kiwi, and even to Baby Shark 😂❤️
✰ Clara: Is there any book that you would NEVER read?
As of now, I honestly don’t remember if there is one. When I look at other bloggers posts, I keep adding books to my (never-ending, always-growing) TBR, and if a review says the book wasn’t great, or if I don’t like the sound of a book, I just don’t add it to my TBR and don’t remember it as such.
✰ Riddhi: Dogs or Cats?
I love ALL animals, so this question is super hard for me. I CAN’T PICK!! My parents and brother all like dogs better, but I can’t choose! They’re both so cute!! 🥺🥺
✰ Tiction: What memory is the closest to your heart?
It depends on who. I have special memories with each person in my life. Some with my parents, my brother, my friends, my grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts. I have different memories with everyone, and can’t pick anyone!
✰ Clara: Do you listen to music while reading?
It depends on which book. Sometimes I’ll start listening to music, and then find it distracting, so then stop. But sometimes, I’ll instinctively get up and grab my AirPods, because I need music. I also think it depends on the genre. I feel more inclined to listen to music when it’s rom-coms, because the topics aren’t very heavy in those, so you don’t require a lot of focus, and the music also helps to create a nice mood/vibe.
✰ Riddhi: A TV show you can binge-watch forever?
Schitt’s Creek! Everyone is such a mood, and the relationships between each character are hilarious!
✰ Tiction: If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I honestly haven’t thought about this. I mean, I wouldn’t want to change my name, but I do like other people’s names.
✰ Clara: What’s a book that you would recommend to anyone?
The Throne of Glass series! I know this is a series and not a book, but the whole series is to die for!! I would recommend it to anyone, whether they like fantasy, or hate it.
✰ Riddhi: What is a song you will never get tired of listening to?
The song I would never get tired of listening to is probably Greatest by Eminem. I first heard this song in 5th grade, when Em released his album Kamikaze, and I’ve been listening to it for 2 years straight, and haven’t gotten tired of it (yet). I still listen to it all the time, and it’s such a great song.
✰ Tiction: What’s your favourite book? (there can be many!)
Thank you for saying many!!! It would be so hard to pick just one! As I said before I absolutely LOVE the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas (so if you haven’t read it yet, go check it out). I read this a while back, but I also loved the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. That’s also a really awesome series, so go check that out as well 🙂
✰ Clara: What’s your favourite book quote?
Astra inclinant, sed non obligant. The stars incline us, they do not bind us.
✰ Riddhi: Who’s your favourite author?
I have 3 at the moment. I feel like last year I read a lot more of YA and mystery, and now in 2020, in lockdown, I’ve been reading a ton of fantasy, so I’ve got to say my favourite authors are Sarah J. Maas, Cassandra Clare, and Marissa Meyer. I love all of their books, and I can’t wait to read more!!
✰ Tiction: Who’s your favourite author?
Okay, ahahahah, this is the same question as the last one!
✰ Name a song that reminds you of a happy time in your life.
So these two songs are kinda old but they just remind me of really happy times. One would be Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra. This was released in 1976 (it’s old, I know), but when I went camping in Kent, I met a couple of people, and we just vibed to this song a lot, and sung it around the campfire and in our tents. I know we aren’t really in touch now, but I still remember how much fun I had then. The second song would probably be Kiss From a Rose by Seal. This was released in 1994 (so not as old as Mr. Blue Sky, but still quite old), and this was a song that we played a lot as a family when we went on road trips. I just remember being in the car for a really long time, but screaming this song out loud along with my parents and my brother (even though he was too young and basically only babbled), and just remembering the experience, and the memories we made on those road trips.
These were so much fun to answer! Thanks again to Clara, Riddhi, and Tiction! You guys are the nicest people! Go check out their blogs, they post some amazing content! That being said, for this award, I tag…
